While visiting a friend a few years ago, she made these mushrooms. At the time… I HATED mushrooms! But… my mom always taught me to eat what was set before me, so eat I did. And I was shocked to find that I LOVED these mushrooms! To be fair, since then I have come to enjoy mushrooms. To this day, these are still my favorite ones!
- 16 Ounces Fresh Mushrooms, washed and quartered
- 2 Tbls Olive Oil
- 2 Tbls Crushed Garlic
- Salt, to taste
- Pinch Crushed Red Pepper
- 1/4 C Fresh Parsley, Chopped
- 1 Tbls Worcestershire Sauce
In a skillet heat oil, add garlic. Saute garlic until it begins to turn brown. Add Mushrooms, Salt and Red Pepper. Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, and drain. Next add in the Parsley and Worcestershire Sauce. Enjoy!
These are IDEAL when they can be served at room temperature… but I eat them hot, room temp, cold… and in my omelets!
